Blackberry Stitch

April 10, 2011

This is a super pretty and not too hard stitch for the knitter.  To give you an idea what it looks like (besides a picture) I'll give you a description:  The blackberry stitch is a lot like a bobble, except- unlike a bobble- the Blackberry Stitch never flattens (maybe if you smashed it with a hammer or somthing but who does that?) So anyways, the Blackberry Stitch does have small holes- nothing large to worry over, and also it pokes out a good deal without going flat.  Here's the pattern

Blackberry Stitch

First Row:  Purl all stitches {Heads up: All odd number rows will be purled}.

Second Row: *Knit 1, Purl 1, Knit 1 in the first stitch.  Purl 3 together in the next stitch.*  Do this *-* until you've reached the end of your row.

Third Row:  Purl all stitches.

Fourth Row:  *Purl 3 together.  Knit 1, Purl 1, Knit 1*  Do this *-* until you've reached the end.  Now repeat row 1-4.

Pretty simple, and so pretty!
