Fabric Flowers

July 5, 2011

These are some wee little cuties I've been making and decorating my room with...

How to make:
Cut 5 circles- all the same length.
{Mine were 3 1/2 inches in diamter}

Then fold them in fourths, and on opposite of the pointy side (see above picture)
sew a running stitch across the bottom of all five.

Pull and then tie the threads *super* tight.

Like so.

Then sew a cute button and on and you've got a fabric flower!
My version of these fabric posies.

I know! They are so cute- I found a tutorial here: http://mariemadelinestudio.typepad.com/mariemadeline_studio/2009/09/festive-posies.html

It's a really nice little blog for poeple who like to sew.

I just made my first flower like that today! I made it brown and white and put it on a headband that I made. I think I am going to make a lot more of these. :)

OoOo! It sounds cute! I was going to do the same thing, make a flower and sew, hot glue, whatever, it onto a headband. I'm glad it worked out well.
