Almond cream cake {recipe}

My Mammaw is an old fashioned, tea party, dainty little desserts, and over all tea pot lover.  She has a million and one recipes but this one has remained a permanent favorite with her children and grandchildren:

Almond cream cake {recipe}

8 oz. cream cheese, softened
4 large eggs
1/2 c. water
1/2 c. oil
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. almond extract
1 box of Duncan Hines Butter Cake Mix

{Preheat oven to 350 degrees}
Mix together all ingredients (except cake mix) in a large bowl.  It should be slightly frothy...  When that is thoroughly blended (make sure there aren't any lumps), mix in cake mix.  Lightly grease and flour a bundt cake pan and pour in your cake batter!  Slip it into the oven and let it bake for around 30-40 minutes or until it's like a carmel brown color on top.  Take it out and let the cake cool for a few minutes {read 10 minutes}.  Take the cake out and as soon as it's out, drizzle icing all over the top.

Powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

Okay.. so I was in the kitchen and I asked Mammaw "So...  How do you make this again?"  Her answer was "Just mix everything until it's kinda like a thick syrup."  *smile*  And guess what?  I have no idea how much I put in...  I just kept adding either milk or powdered sugar to get it to the right consistency.  Have fun!
