Peach cobbler {recipe}

September 15, 2011

A dear friend has a good plan cooking up- and I encourage any homemaker- or baker- to participate in this.  It's a wonderful way to share good/yummy/tested/or practical recipes.

My little contribute:

Peach Cobbler!

This recipe gets 5 stars for being wonderfully scrumptious.  Also 5 stars for being super easy.  And 5 stars just cause'.  What it really is, is layers.  All you must do is layer everything in a casserole dish and turn your oven on.  (such exhaustion)!

::Peach Cobbler Recipe::

Ingredients::

2 lrg cans of peaches (oz?)
1 box of Duncan Hines Yellow Cake Mix
around 2 sticks of butter (somewhat soft makes it easier to cut although it is not necessary)
ground cinnamon

*Preheat your oven to 350 degrees*
Strain peaches in a strainer and cut the peaches into small bite sized pieces.  Take a casserole dish of about 9 by 13 and pour in strained and cut peaches- no greasing required for this one!  Take the yellow cake mix and pour all over the peaches and kind of smooth it to cover all visible areas.  Sprinkle cinnamon lightly over the cake mix.  Begin cutting pats of butter and place them here and there all over the cake mix and cinnamon until the cake mix is somewhat covered.  Sprinkle cinnamon over the butter (to taste really) and pop it in the oven for oh, about 15 minutes.

Now, take a deep breath and smell the spicy cinnamon and sweet cake mix with a refreshing clean smell of peaches, and the butter melting and enhancing the cinnamon smell even more.

DING!  It's done!  Enjoy!

Have a lovely days dears!
Blessings,
Gabby
