Scarflette:: pattern

November 1, 2011

Okay...  I am not a big fan of "go get this so and so yarn, and this size of so and so knitting needles, and make sure your gauge is so and so size" et cetera, but this time I am going to so y'all don't get mad at me if your project decides to "freak" out :-)

          ::Materials::
  • a small ball of Red Heart Yarn
  • 1 pair of knitting needles 6mm
  • tapestry needle
  • 3 medium sized button

::Pattern::

Cast on about 20 stitches
Knit in double seed stitch until the piece is as long as around your throat.
*Now double seed stitch 5 stitches, yarn over* repeat from *-* until you reach the end of the row.  (You should have 3 yarnovers- these will be your button holes)
Next row, double seed stitch until you get to the yarn over.  Knit {or purl} as the stitch presents with the yarn over.
Double seed stitch 2 more rows and bind off.  With your tapestry needle, sew on buttons to where they are in accordance with the button holes.  Weave in ends and enjoy your scarflette!

Many thanks to my dear little sister for being my charming model.  Love you dear!
p.s.  if anyone needs help with my pattern please tell me!  I am more than happy to help.
